CTA here refers to the text beside the payment method logos, for example, "Credit Card" and "Additional payment methods" as shown below:
There are 2 ways to change the payment method CTA depending on your Shopify plan:
- For Shopify Plus merchants, you may use Checkout Blocks
- For all other Shopify merchants, you can follow the instructions below to use BeSure Checkout Rules app (note: under the free plan you will be able to rename one payment method for free)
How to change payment method CTA using BeSure Checkout Rules app?
First, install the BeSure Checkout Rules app from the Shopify App Store, and then follow these steps to change the CTA:
- Select More under Add new rules
- Select Rename payment methods under Payment
- Select the conditions you want this rule to be active for
- Rename the payment method by selecting Manual Entry and entering the CTA you wish to edit. For example in the below screenshot, we are renaming CTA "Klarna" to "Klarna Pay in parts"
