How do billing cycles work for customers who sign up on or after 1 March 2026?

For customers who sign up on or after 1 March 2026, billing follows a natural month cycle, from the 1st of one month to the 1st of the next, regardless of the date they signed up or completed verification.

For example, if a customer signs up on 15 February and completes verification on 20 February without a free trial, their first billing cycle runs from 20 February to 1 March, and the next cycle runs from 1 March to 1 April.

If the customer starts with a free trial, and the trial runs from 20 February to 20 March, the first billing cycle runs from 20 March to 1 April, followed by 1 April to 1 May.

How did billing cycles work for customers who signed up before 1 March 2026?

For customers on older billing logic, billing cycles were based on the date they completed verification or the date of their latest plan upgrade. This means some customers may have billing cycles that run from one day of the month to the same day in the following month, rather than on a natural month basis.

For example, if a customer completed verification on 20 February and had no free trial, their first billing cycle would run from 20 February to 20 March, and the next cycle would run from 20 March to 20 April.

Which account is billed for subscription fees?

Subscriptions are associated with an organisation. Within that organisation, a billing entity and billing account can be specified for Subscription fees. By default, this is the first entity and account created.
