I am missing some transactions from previous months on Xero, what should I do?

If you notice that some transactions from previous months are missing in Xero, you can use the "Sync historical transactions" feature to manually sync them for a specified date range. This feature automatically deduplicates transactions, so you don't need to worry about duplicates appearing in Xero.

How to sync historical transactions

  1. Navigate to Xero Bank Feed: Go to Settings > Connections. Select the Xero tile and open Bank Feed.
  2. Select the account to sync: Click on the account you want to sync transactions for. This will open a side panel showing your Airwallex wallet currency mapping for that account.

  3. Initiate the sync: At the bottom of the side panel, click "Sync historical transactions"
  4. Select currencies: In the Balances and currencies dropdown, search or select the currencies you want to sync historical transactions for.

Note: You can only sync historical transactions for balances and currencies you have already connected to Xero.

  5. Select a date range: Under Date range, specify the Date from and Date to fields
    • The date range must be 90 days or less per sync request

    • You can sync transactions from up to 365 days prior to the current date

    • Transactions will be synced based on your current time zone

  6. Confirm and sync: Click "Sync transactions". You will receive an email notification at your registered email address once all transactions have been synced

Important notes

  • Previously synced transactions will not be re-synced. The feature automatically deduplicates to prevent duplicate entries in Xero.

  • Transactions that occurred before your feed was first activated will not be automatically synced to Xero.

  • Syncing transactions older than 365 days from the current date is not supported, as Xero's system only accepts transactions within the past 365 days.

  • If you need to sync more than 90 days of history, you can run the sync multiple times with different date ranges.
