This article details the requirements to enable Airwallex Yield if your business is registered in Australia or New Zealand.
Who is eligible to access Airwallex Yield in Australia and New Zealand?
All Australian entities who have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and a registered business address in Australia.
All New Zealand entities who have an New Zealand Business Number (NZBN) and a registered business address in New Zealand.
Which user's permission is required to enable Airwallex Yield in Australia and New Zealand?
Due to regulations, only the account owner will be able to enable Airwallex Yield.
If your account has multiple account owners, only one is required to activate Yield. However, this account owner must complete the end to end onboarding application.
For the New Airwallex WebApp Experience (Beta phase):
If you see "Business Accounts" in the left navigation column, you're on the new Airwallex experience. If you don't see this, then please refer to the steps outlined under "For the existing Airwallex Webapp Experience"
How do I get access to Airwallex Yield in Australia and New Zealand?
Yield applications can be filled in by account owners or account admins and must be submitted by an account owner. If you are an account admin, we’ll walk you through transferring the application to an account owner for signing at the end of the application
If you see "Business Accounts" in the left-hand navigation, you're on the new Airwallex experience.
Start your Yield application by navigate to Business Accounts, select ‘New account’
When asked what type of account you want to open, choose Yield.
For the existing Airwallex Webapp Experience:
If you don't see "Business Accounts" in the left navigation column, you're on the old Airwallex experience. You will be migrated to the new WebApp experience soon as we gradually roll it out.
Start your Yield application by navigating to the account owner will need to navigate to the Wallet → Balances , scroll below the Cash wallet where the Yield wallet is located → Click on 'Get started'

You will need to submit some supplementary information to access the Airwallex Yield product, including providing your company’s FATCA information. If your company identifies as a Passive Non-Financial Entity, please contact support.
Account Verification
A minimum initial investment amount of AU$10,000 or USD equivalent is required to finalise your account opening.
After this initial transaction, there is no ongoing minimum transfer or balance requirement.
