What is a Yield Deposit?

A Yield deposit, also can be referred to as an application, is a transfer of funds from your Airwallex cash wallet to your Yield wallet. When you submit a Yield deposit, you are purchasing units within the respective Unit Currency Class.

How do I make a Yield deposit?

  1. To make a Yield deposit, navigate to your Yield wallet (Wallet -> Balances -> Scroll to below your Airwallex Cash wallet). 
  2. Click on the  “Add funds” button. You can do this from the main balances page or within a selected currency Yield balance page. Screenshot 2025-02-28 at 8.44.27 PM.png

  3. Choose the currency and input the amount then click ‘next’Screenshot 2025-02-28 at 8.46.03 PM.png
  4. Review the information you’ve inputted and click “confirm” to submit your Yield depositScreenshot 2025-02-28 at 8.46.14 PM.png
  5. Congratulations! You’ve successfully submitted a Yield deposit.

When will my Yield deposit settle in my Yield wallet?

AUD & USD Yield deposits submitted before the cut off time, should settle into your Yield wallet in 1-2 business days.* 

End of the Month Distribution Period:

The end of month distribution period begins after 12pm on the last business day of the month. If you submit a Yield deposit during this period, it will be processed and earn returns; however, the Yield deposit will appear as pending in your Yield wallet until the distribution period has ended. 

Public Holidays:

Yield deposits are not processed during NSW public holidays. For example, AUD & USD Yield deposits will not be processed on Easter or NSW Labour Day public holidays.

Cut-off times

The cut-off times for AUD & USD Yield deposits is 12pm AEDT/AEST

If you submit a Yield deposit after the cut off time, your Yield deposit will be processed the following business day. 

Can I cancel my Yield deposit? 

Once submitted, you will be unable to cancel your Yield deposit. You will need to submit a withdrawal request in order to return your funds to your Airwallex cash wallet. For steps on how to complete a withdrawal, please see this article
