Getting Started with Airwallex Yield in Hong Kong

This article details the requirements to enable Airwallex Yield if your business is registered in Hong Kong.

Who is eligible to access Airwallex Yield? 

All Hong Kong entities who have a Hong Kong Business registration number (BRN) and a registered business address in Hong Kong.

Who can enable Airwallex Yield for an account?

Only the account owner who is a UBO or holds a Evidence of Authority (PPTA) will be able to enable Airwallex Yield on behalf of the company. 

If your account has multiple account owners, only one is required to activate Yield. However, this account owner must complete the end to end onboarding application. 

Account owners who are directors of the company will be unable to activate Airwallex Yield at this stage. Please contact support if you have questions. 

How do I get access to Airwallex Yield?

Yield is provided by Airwallex Capital Hong Kong Limited (Airwallex Capital) which is regulated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (CE Number: BUL570) to provide asset management services. The account owner, on behalf of the company, will need to apply to open a Yield account with Airwallex Capital. 

Navigate to the Wallet -> Balances -> scroll to below the Cash balances where the Yield account opening information is located -> Click on “Get started” 

You will need to submit some supplementary information to open your Airwallex Yield account, including verifying your business and providing your company’s FACTA information. If your company identifies as a Passive Non-Financial Entity, please contact support.

Verify your business

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), the regulator of Airwallex Capital Hong Kong (Yield), requires that we verify your business in order to activate your Yield account. Please ensure the documents you used to sign up to Airwallex are valid and up to date. If you’re unsure or require further information, please contact support via our Support Form. If your documents are invalid or out of date, we may need to request further information during the Yield application process.
