What is a Yield Deposit?
A deposit is a transfer of funds from your Airwallex cash balance to your Yield balance.
Funds transferred into your Yield balance will be used to purchase units in the underlying fund for the specified amount.
How do I put money into Yield?
- To make a Yield deposit, navigate to your Yield account (Wallet -> Balances -> Yield account).
- Click on the “Add funds” button. You can do this from the main balances page or within a selected currency Yield balance page.
- Choose the currency and input the amount then click ‘next’
- Review the information you’ve inputted & click “confirm” to make the transfer
- Congratulations! You’ve successfully invested in Yield.
The account owner will receive an email notification confirming the transfer. They’ll receive an additional email notification when the investment has settled to your Yield account. Due to regulatory obligations, you will not be able to turn off these email notifications.
When will my investment settle in my Yield account?
USD, EUR & GBP investments submitted before their respective cut off times, should settle into your Yield account in 1 business day (T+1).
HKD investments submitted before their respective cut off times, should settle into your Yield account in 2 business days (T+2).
Please note, funds are only processed on days that are not public holidays in the currency's country. For example, USD funds will not be processed on US public holidays.
Cut-off times
If you submit an investment after the cut off times indicated below, your investment will be processed the following business day. The cutoff times differ based on the currency.

*Luxembourg, London, and New York observe daylight saving time. Hong Kong time equivalents shift by 1 hour accordingly
Can I cancel my investment instruction?
Once submitted, you can cancel your investment instruction if before the cut off time (see above). After the cut off time, you will need to submit a withdrawal request in order to return your funds to your Airwallex cash balance. For steps on how to complete a withdrawal, please see this article.
