What are Themes?

Summary

Themes let you define your brand once — logo, colours, and customer support links — and apply it consistently across customer-facing Airwallex touchpoints such as digital invoices, payment links, checkouts, and customer emails.

Themes are organisation-level branding settings in the Airwallex web app. Instead of configuring your logo, colours, and support details separately in Billing, Payments, and other products, you create a theme once and apply it to the billing entities and payment accounts you choose.

Where themes apply today

Themes can be applied to two product areas:

  1. Billing — applies to invoices, hosted billing checkouts, and associated emails created from the selected billing entities.

  2. Payments — applies to payment links, hosted payment pages, embedded elements, and associated emails created from the selected payment accounts.

Additional domains (such as Shopify connected stores) are being added over time. If a product is not yet supported, your existing product-specific branding settings continue to apply.

The default Airwallex theme

Every organisation includes a built-in Airwallex theme. This theme cannot be edited or deleted. Any billing entity or payment account that does not have a custom theme applied uses the Airwallex default theme.

How themes relate to your old branding settings

If you previously configured a logo, business name, or support details in Billing settings or Payment Link settings, Airwallex will automatically create a migrated theme from those settings when Themes becomes available for your organisation. The migrated theme is applied to the relevant billing entities or payment accounts so your customers continue to see the same branding.

After migration, manage all branding from Settings → Themes. Legacy branding fields in individual product settings are removed once Themes is enabled for your organisation.

Before you begin

  • You need permission to view Themes. To create or edit themes, you need additional permission. See Themes: frequently asked questions for details.

  • Themes is available at the organisation level: go to Settings → Themes in the Airwallex web app.
