How to view and manage transfers

Business Accounts supports organisation wide management and viewing of transfers. From one page, every completed, pending and failed transfer to any destination is available.

This article explains where transfer information is located, how to interpret transfer statuses and alert banners, view your transfer history, and recover from common issues.

Before you begin: you must have view transfer permissions granted by your organisation administrator.

View your transfers

  1. In the left sidebar, click the Business Accounts item. The section expands to show links to your favourited accounts and a Show all link
  2. Click the Transfers tab at the top of the page to view your transfer history.
  3. Stay on Transfers to view individual transfer history or click the Batch transfers tab to view batch transfer history.

If you are trying to create a new transfer, see How do I create a transfer?.

Troubleshooting transfers

Alert banners

When you navigate to any Transfers sub-page (Transfer or Batch transfer), alert banners may appear at the top of the page. Each banner is conditional on the state of your accounts and approval workflows and includes an action button.

Clicking the action button will redirect you to resolve alert banners. Some banners that may appear on transfer pages include:

  • Some transfers in approval have insufficient funds
  • Airwallex (an account name) has workflow changes pending your approval.
  • A number of accounts have workflow changes pending approval
  • A number of accounts are missing an approval workflow

Not all banners appear for all users. They depend on the current state of your transfers and account configurations.

Editing your transfer

If a transfer or batch transfer is scheduled for a future date, you can still change the transfer details.

To cancel or edit a transfer

  1. On the Transfers page, click the row of the transfer to change.
  2. In the detail panel, select the Cancel transfer button or the Edit transfer button. These options are available before the transfer has been sent.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts and confirm your choice.

After submitting: if the transfer has already been dispatched, cancelling the transfer will change the status to Cancellation requested while it processes. Once complete, the status moves to Cancelled and funds are returned less any applicable fees. If not yet sent, the status changes directly to Cancelled.

To recall a batch transfer:

  1. On the Batch transfers sub-page, click the batch row.
  2. In the detail panel, click Recall (available for batches not yet dispatched).
  3. Confirm the recall.

The batch status changes to Recalled. If funds were temporarily held, they are released back to your account.

Common issues

You may see any of the following issues attached to your transfer:

Seeing a different version of the Airwallex platform?

You may be on the previous version of the Airwallex platform. See Revamped Airwallex experience: one place to run your whole business (beta) for more information on the change.

The best way to confirm if you are on the previous version is to check your left sidebar column for any mention of Business Accounts. In the same sidebar, you can also check that you do not see Wallet or Transfers.

Certain actions and pages may not be visible if you have not been given sufficient global or account permissions.
