Your currency wallet will display three distinct types of balances: Available balance, Account balance, and Reserved balance. This article aims to explain the meaning of each of these balances.
Available balance
Your available balance represents the funds that are currently accessible for making transactions. It is subject to regular updates throughout the day as you initiate transfers, conversions, or as funds are settled into your wallet.
Account balance
Your Account balance represents the cumulative amount of funds present in your wallet. It is calculated by combining your Available balance and Reserve balance.
Reserve balance
The Reserve balance comprises of all funds that are temporarily held such as pending card transactions and pending refunds from your online payments made acquired through Airwallex. Reserved funds can be returned to the Available balance in situations such as the cancellation of a pending card transaction or the release of a reserved online payment refund.
