This article explains how company card contacts wor, their purpose and how you can manage card contacts for company cards
What is a company card contact?
A Company card contact is an authorised user responsible for making purchases on a virtual Company card. This has been designed to help delegate company purchases (e.g. subscriptions) to your employees.
If a Company card transaction requires additional verification, we’ll send an authentication code via email or mobile to complete the transaction. Click here to learn more about how card transaction verification works.
What can a company card contact do?
Company card contacts can do the following:
- View all card details
- Freeze/unfreeze the card
- Authorise transactions via two-factor authentication (Visa 3-D Secure)
Company card contacts will NOT be able to:
- Edit the card’s spend limits
- Changing the card contacts
- Cancel the card
Who can assign a Company card contact?
Only card admins are able to assign and edit the card contacts on a Company card.
How can I reassign card contacts on an existing card?
Step 1: Select the Company card you’d like to edit
Step 2: Click on “Manage card”
Step 3: Click on “Edit card contacts”
Step 4: Save changes
How many card contacts can I have on a Company card?
You can have up to 3 card contacts on a Company card.
You must have at least 1 card contact assigned to a Company card
What happens to the company card when a user is removed?
When a user is removed from Airwallex (e.g. when they leave your organization), they will be removed as a card contact, but the card will remain active.
If they are the only remaining card contacts on the card, we will assign the card to the account owner so that any ongoing subscription payments are not interrupted.
