What is a Global Account?

Global Accounts are international bank accounts located around the world that facilitate the seamless collection of funds from international customers and marketplaces.

How to Create a Global Account

1. Navigate to Global Accounts in the sidebar

To see your existing Global Accounts and create new accounts navigate to Wallet > Global Accounts on the left-hand side of the Airwallex web app.

2. Create a new Global Account

Click the "Create Global Account" button on the top right-hand side of the screen

3. Select the location and currency for this new account

This page will show you the locations where you can create a Global Account and the currencies the Global Accounts can accept.

After selecting a location, a list of all the supported currencies and their supported payment methods will be shown on the right panel. For certain locations, multiple currencies can be supported under a single Global Account. You may also toggle between the currencies to explore each currency’s supported payment methods.

Once you have decided that this Global Account can support your use cases, simply hit “Create Global Account”, and your Global Account will be created.

You will then be brought to a confirmation screen showing all the details of your newly created Global account, such as the account name, account number, details of the bank, and account capabilities.

You may also click on the pencil icon next to the default Global Account nickname to modify the nickname if required.

 

Viewing Global Accounts

1. Navigate to Global Accounts in the sidebar

To see your existing Global Accounts and create new accounts navigate to Wallet > Global Accounts on the left hand side of the Airwallex web app.

2. Select Global Account

Select the Global Account you wish to view from the list. You can filter your Global Accounts by bank location, currency, and status.

 3. View Global Account details

Global Account details can be viewed here. For further information, including details of the correspondent and intermediary banks, select Show all details.
