To apply for an Airwallex business account, your business must meet the eligibility requirements below.
Who can apply
Your business must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible to apply for an Airwallex business account.
Business status
Requirements depend on your business structure and location. If you apply as a business entity, it must be fully incorporated, active and in good standing in their country or territory of registration. Sole traders are accepted in some locations, including, in certain cases, non-registered sole traders. Check the local guide for your location.
Registration location
Your business must be registered in a country or territory that Airwallex supports for onboarding. See Eligible countries and territories for the current list.
Industry
Your business must meet Airwallex's industry requirements. See Unsupported industries and the Acceptable Use Policy for details about prohibited and restricted activities.
Sanctions and entity restrictions
Airwallex cannot provide services to a business that is on a sanctions list, is a shell bank, or is a bearer share entity.
Risk review
Meeting the requirements above does not guarantee approval. Airwallex may decline an application if the business falls outside its risk appetite, as set out in the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms & Policies.
Local requirements

How to apply
Before you begin, confirm that your registration location is supported and review the document guide for your region and business structure. Applying has two stages: you first sign up, then you complete your application.
Step 1: Sign up
Go to the Airwallex website.
In the What's your business email? field, enter your business email address.
Select the Get started button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish signing up.
Step 2: Complete your application
After you sign up, you'll be guided through the application. The questions and documents you see depend on your registration country and business structure, so they may differ from other applicants.
Enter your business details and any other information the application asks for.
Provide the personal details and verification documents the application requests for your authorized person and, where required, for other individuals who own or control the business.
Review your answers and submit your application.
After you submit all required business information, processing takes 1–3 business days; the estimate can vary based on complexity. The onboarding team may contact you at your sign-up email address to request more information or documents. Check your email for messages about your application. If your application is declined
See Why was my application unsuccessful? for common reasons. If Airwallex requests additional information, provide it by the deadline in the request. Not responding within the timeframe provided is one reason an application may be declined. If a decision follows an internal review, Airwallex may be unable to disclose the specific details.
If your application is declined, you're welcome to apply again whenever your company has any updates.
