How do I add, update and delete recipients?

When you make a money transfer, we have the capability to automatically save the recipient's details. However, you also have the option to add their details in advance. Once contacts are added, only specific fields can be modified. Additionally, you have the ability to delete contacts that are no longer required.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to:

  1. Add a new recipient
  2. Update a recipient
  3. Delete a Recipient

Adding a new recipient

Step 1: Navigate to Contacts under Transfers in the sidebar

To view a list of current contacts and to create new contacts, please navigate to the Transfers > Contacts page located in the left-hand side menu.


Step 2. Create new Recipient

On this screen, you will find a comprehensive list of your current contacts.

To create a new contact, please click on the "New recipient" option located in the top right corner of your screen.

Step 3. Select Recipient Account Type

Please indicate the type of contact you are creating. Choosing either Business or Individual will display additional fields for the selected entity type.

Step 4. Select Recipient's Account Specifications

Depending on the chosen location for your new contact, the account currency may be automatically updated. Please note that certain account currencies are only compatible with specific transfer methods. Kindly review these fields before proceeding further.

Step 5. Enter Recipient's Information

If the selected location and currency support both SWIFT and Local payment options, you will be provided with the choice to select your preferred payment method for this contact. Please note that not all locations will have access to the Local network.

Once you have entered the required details, click Create to finish.

Updating a recipient

We may need to gather additional beneficiary information based on the location and payment method, as part of our responsibilities to local payment networks, regulatory bodies, and our payment partners. This article offers a guide on how to update beneficiary information.

During the transfer process, if you have chosen an existing recipient (or 'contact'), you may encounter an error message if the recipient details do not comply with the validation rules set for that specific type of transaction.


To make changes to the information of your beneficiary, please follow the instructions below:

Step 1. Click on the 'Update' button provided in the error message.

Step 2. Modify the details of the selected recipient as per the guidance provided for each field. If the information you enter does not comply with the required format, an error message will be displayed.

Step 3. Click on 'Save changes'. You will then be able to proceed with your transfer.


Alternately, you may locate the contact from your list of recipients. Click the three dots against this contact and select 'Edit'. Proceed to make any necessary modifications on the next page. Please note that certain fields may not be editable. Click on the 'Update' button to finalise the changes.

Deleting a Recipient

To delete the company and bank details of a Contact, kindly locate the contact from your list of recipients. Click the three dots against this contact and select 'Delete'.
