Introduction
The Airwallex and QuickBooks Online connection automates your bookkeeping by syncing Airwallex transactions directly into QuickBooks Online. Once connected, transactions sync daily into your ledger, helping reduce manual file exports and streamline reconciliation.
QuickBooks Bank Feed is currently supported through the following connection options in QuickBooks:
- Airwallex (all regions, excluding UK and EU): Australia, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, United States.
- Airwallex (UK): United Kingdom
- Airwallex (European Union): EU / EEA

Setup Instructions
Part 1: Prerequisites – Prepare Your QuickBooks Online Account
Who can configure this connection: Owners, Admin users, and Finance Admin users. Learn more about User Access Management.
Before connecting Airwallex to QuickBooks Online, confirm the following:
Your QuickBooks Online subscription is on Essentials or a higher plan tier.
Multi-currency is enabled in your QuickBooks Online account.
Part 2: Connect Airwallex
- Log in to your QuickBooks Online account. Go to Accounting → Bank transactions, then select Link account or Connect account.
- Search for Airwallex and select the relevant Airwallex instance for your region.
You will then be redirected to Airwallex to authorise the connection.
- After the connection is authorised, you will see the full list of available Airwallex currencies, displayed in the format <Airwallex account name>*<currency>. Select the currencies you want to sync to the corresponding QuickBooks bank accounts.
Due to current Intuit system limitations, currencies may not appear in alphabetical order. To find a currency more quickly, use Ctrl+F on Windows or Cmd+F on Mac.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the date from which you want to start syncing transactions.
- Once setup is complete, you will be able to view Airwallex transactions in your QuickBooks bank accounts.

How often do Airwallex transactions sync to QuickBooks?
Transactions sync once per day.
Why do I see a balance difference between Airwallex and QuickBooks?
QuickBooks shows the register balance. Transactions that have been imported from Airwallex but not yet added to the register are not included in that figure.
My transactions are not syncing. What should I do?
Click Update in QuickBooks to trigger a manual refresh. If you still experience issues, please contact our support team via webapp chat or your Airwallex account manager.
