How does Airwallex Yield work?

What is Airwallex Yield?

  • Airwallex Yield is a broker-dealer product that gives you a simple way to invest your idle cash. You can invest your USD balance and start earning returns instantly.* You can withdraw your funds from Yield at any time, with funds settling into your cash balances in your Airwallex account.
  • If you choose to withdraw money or deposit money into Yield before the cutoff time of 16:00 ET on a business day, your transaction will normally settle to your cash balance within 1-2 business hours. To find out more about cutoff times, see "How long does it take for funds to move in and out of my Airwallex Yield account?"

* Yield is not a savings or deposit product. Investments involve risks, including the possible loss of the principal amount invested. You should seek advice from a financial adviser before making any investment decision. In the event that you choose not to seek advice from a financial adviser, you should consider whether the investment is suitable for you.

How does Yield work and what returns could I earn on my Yield balance?

  • Through Airwallex Yield, customers can earn returns on US dollars in a money market fund (the latest rates are available in on our pricing page)**. Airwallex Yield invests in the underlying fund JPMorgan U.S. Government Money Market Fund OGVXX (Capital Share Class), which invests in a range of liquid assets. Assets in money market funds typically include cash and cash-like investments with short maturities and high ratings, such as certificates of deposit, treasury bills and commercial paper.
  •  Returns are based on the underlying fund's performance over a 7-day period, which are then annualized. Past performance is not indicative of future results. All investments carry risk. For more details on the fees, refer to “What are the fees to invest through Yield? below.

** Indicative rate is based on historical annualized rate of underlying funds, net of Airwallex fees and assumes subscription to the Accelerate tier.
