We've improved the Airwallex experience so you can better manage your business across multiple accounts. This article covers what's new. The revamped interface is now in beta and gradually rolling out in waves.
Centrally manage all aspects of your business
The new experience starts from your organisation view. Viewing and managing balances, transfers, cards, conversions, payees, activity, and payments now starts across your entire organisation. You can drill into any individual account whenever you need the detail.
Your entities, accounts, balances, payees, and history all carry across — they're simply organised around your business rather than around a single account.
Businesses with multiple entities can manage their finances centrally across all entities with Global Entity Management.
Key Concepts
-
Organisation: your company. It holds your legal entities and accounts, and it's what you log into. Users, permissions, and aggregated reporting live here.
- Every organisation contains at least 1 entity
-
Entity: a legally registered business in a given country. This is where KYC, compliance, and regulatory requirements apply.
- Every entity contains at least 1 account
- Account: a pool of funds within an entity, used to keep money separated by purpose
What's new
One account, one purpose
Your cash, credit, and yield balances are now their own separate accounts and you can easily transfer money between them at any time.
Each account now has a specific type and purpose, so it's always clear what money is where:
- Borderless Cash: your day-to-day account for holding, converting, and moving money. Hold 20+ currencies and collect locally from 60+ countries/regions, all in one multi-currency account, with no setup or upfront fees.
- Yield: A dedicated account for earning yield on your idle cash.
- Credit: Bridge income and expense gaps with flexible credit limits and competitive rates. Create credit cards from this account.
When you create a new account, you'll pick one of these three types.
Business Accounts: the new home for your money
Business Accounts is where everything to do with your accounts now lives.
You no longer need to switch between accounts to manage transfers, payees, cards, and conversions.
Figure 1: The Business Accounts overview surfaces items that need action and upcoming activity, with all accounts listed by entity and type.
Inside Business Accounts you'll find:
- Overview: items where action is needed, plus upcoming scheduled transfers and conversions.
- Accounts: every account, its entity, and its type, filterable by entity or type. You can favorite the ones you use the most to appear at the top of the left navigation menu.
- Transfers: a single place to manage transfers across every account. You no longer need to switch between accounts to do so.
- Conversions: one view of all conversions and limit orders
- Payees: formerly Contacts, now organisation-wide.
- Activity: every transaction across the organisation.
You can move money between your own accounts — cash to yield, account to account, or externally — from the same place, and add funds either from an external bank or instantly from another account within your organisation.
Global Accounts and linked bank accounts can be found within Borderless Cash Accounts.
Organisation-wide view of Payments
Payments now starts from your organisation view, with a deep dive into any individual payment account when you need it.
- Overview is your pulse: business-wide gross sales, successful payments, settlements, disputes, and key trends in one place.
- Analytics is where you go for diagnosis: acceptance, attempts, declines, and error patterns across your whole organisation
- Payment Accounts is your operational source of truth: KYB status, approved websites, and active payment methods sit together, so you can immediately see what's live, blocked, under review, failed, or waiting on information.
Figure 4: The Payments overview aggregates business performance across payment accounts, with drill-down still available per account.
Figure 5: One table makes every Payment Account's key information scannable and actionable.
Settings is now its own app
You can manage all of your organisation, account, and user settings in one place. Settings are also easily reachable from within each product. Security now sits inside Settings too. You can manage configuration for the whole organisation or for individual accounts from the same place.
Figure 6: Settings can be applied across the organisation or scoped to an individual account.
