When making local CNY transfers to mainland China, Airwallex requires you to provide sales order information for cross-border payment declaration purposes. Submitting order information increases your transfer limit for CNY local transfers.
After successful declaration, your available transfer limit is shown in the CNY repatriation tab in Business Accounts page — it represents the cumulative value of your submitted orders.
Two ways to provide order information
Method 1 — Connect your online store
Authorise Airwallex to retrieve order data automatically from your e-commerce platform. Supported platforms include Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Lazada, and Fnac. Once authorised, orders are pulled automatically and counted toward your declaration quota.
In the left sidebar, select the Business Accounts.
Select the CNY repatriation tab at the top of the page.
Select the Account, and select Add a new Store in the page header.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Note: Store review can take up to 3 business days.
Method 2 — Upload a sales order file
If your store is not one of the supported platforms, or if you prefer to upload orders manually, use the file upload method.
In the left sidebar, select the Business Accounts.
Select the CNY repatriation tab at the top of the page.
Select the Account, and select Upload orders in the page header.
Select a reviewed store from the list and select the Continue button.
Select Download template to get the order template file.
Complete the template with your sales order details — fill in all required fields for each order. Use the date format
yyyy-MM-ddoryyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss(over 50 additional date formats are supported; contact Airwallex support if your system uses a different format).Upload the completed file — drag and drop or select Choose file.
Review the validation results:
- Valid orders are listed and ready to submit. - Invalid orders are flagged. Select Download error file to see the item_error column, which identifies the issue for each row.
Correct errors in your file (remove the error column before re-uploading), then re-upload.
Select Submit to add valid orders to your declaration quota.
Outcome: Your transfer limit for CNY local transfers increases by the cumulative value of the submitted orders.
Common issues and recovery
My file fails validation
Download the error file and review the item_error column for each flagged row. Common issues include missing required fields, unsupported date formats, and duplicate order references. Correct the errors and delete the error column from the file before re-uploading.
My date format is not accepted
The recommended formats are yyyy-MM-dd and yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss. If your system exports dates in a format that is not accepted, contact Airwallex support via Kai.
My transfer limit has not increased after submitting orders
Confirmation may take a short time to process. Refresh the Transfer methods page. If the limit does not update after several minutes, contact Airwallex support via Kai.

Seeing a different version of the Airwallex platform?
You may be on the previous version of the Airwallex platform. See Revamped Airwallex experience: one place to run your whole business (beta) for more information on the change.
The best way to confirm if you are on the new version is to check your left sidebar column for any mention of Business Accounts. In the same sidebar, you can also check that you do not see Wallet or Transfers.
Certain actions and pages may not be visible if you have not been given sufficient global or account permissions.
