You can add funds in your Airwallex Wallet, that serves as the primary repository for funds within your account, via a bank transfer or by initiating a direct debit. You can proceed with bank transfer from the wallet or transfers section on the webapp. For using direct debit please refer to this article.
There are two main methods to add funds to your wallet:
Adding funds via Global Account
To top up a specific currency wallet, make a bank transfer to the designated Global Account for that currency. It's crucial to understand that funds received through Global Accounts are held in the wallet; they do not remain in the global account.
To proceed, navigate to Wallet > Global Accounts and select the currency account to view additional banking information.
For example, if you wish to add EUR:
- Locate the EUR global account.
- On the following page, click on "Show more details" to access all necessary banking information.
- On the right-hand side, the "Account capabilities" section provides details about the various transfer methods available for depositing funds, as well as those that are not supported. It also indicates if payouts via direct debit are possible
Note: By making a bank transfer to the designated Global Account of the desired currency wallet you wish to top up. It is important to note that funds received through Global Accounts are held in the wallet and do not remain in the global account itself.
Direct Debit Deposit via Linked Bank Accounts
By initiating a direct debit from an existing bank account that you have linked to Airwallex. It is important to note that this functionality is currently restricted to specific customers who have registered businesses in Australia and the United States.
